Keeping a website from logging you out
Most sites log you out after a period of inactivity. Keep Every Page Alive either reloads a tab on a timer — a real request, so an idle clock starts over — or holds a training page in place without navigating, so a course does not lose its spot.
Enter the address above, choose an interval — aim for roughly two-thirds of the site's idle timeout — and press Open and keep alive. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 players (ClickSafety, CareerSafe, 360training, and similar SCORM shells) select Hold in place on their own. That pulse moves the pointer, focuses the page, and keeps a video that was already playing. It does not click Next or Continue, and it does not answer a quiz or an attention check. Nothing to install, no account, and the whole thing runs in your browser.
A reload only defeats an idle timeout — not an absolute session lifetime, a rotating token, or a site that insists on a real hand (isTrusted). Hold in place reaches a tab this page opened when that tab is still on this site; other sites need the Mac helper or the extension. Full breakdown in the FAQ.
A reload also discards unsaved work in that tab, and idle timeouts on banking, healthcare and shared-account systems are often a compliance control — see the blacklist for the honest limits. Can't see the tabs you already have open? That's a browser security boundary, not a bug. Two ways around it: the macOS helper, which sees every browser at once, or the extension, which works on any operating system but only inside the browser it's installed in.
